Vision: AYSO EXTRA is a travel soccer program providing progressive player development, designed for players who have the interest, skills and abilities and want to enhance their experience and individual growth through soccer while retaining the spirit of and organization membership in AYSO.
Mission: AYSO EXTRA is designed to enhance AYSO’s primary program by recruiting and retaining players and volunteers through providing more competitive play the AYSO way – all EXTRA programs embrace the “Six Philosophies” of AYSO.
Extra is designed for players who have the interest, skills and abilities and want to enhance their experience and individual growth through soccer while retaining the spirit of and organizational membership in AYSO. This program gives individual players who demonstrate both an ability and desire the opportunity to pursue soccer at a "higher" level while still adhering to the AYSO philosophies.

Who can participate?
EXTRA U-10 is open to all AYSO core players who will be in 3rd or 4th grades in the fall and EXTRA U-12 is for 5th and 6th graders. Please note that players should attend the tryout for the division that they will be in during the fall season . All AYSO EXTRA players must play for a regular AYSO team during that same season.
If you would like your child to tryout for this program, please go to www.hpayso.org to sign up as soon as possible, but no later than the day before the tryout. This is the same registration process that we used for the current year. Once you log-in to your account just select "Extra Program" from the available programs for your player. There is no fee for trying out and you are not required to register for next season before tryouts (although early registration can save $50 off the season!). Advanced registration is helpful, as it allows us to coordinate and communicate more effectively.
For the tryouts, please try to arrive at Olson Park 15 minutes prior to start time to sign in. The tryout times coincide with regular Academy Practice times for these age groups, so for teams that participate in Academy Practices, coaches will be made aware that players trying out will not be at their regular practice.
